Rockway's summer services, like the season itself, provide a change of pace. With no Sunday school, less formality, a smaller group, and an occasional picnic on the church lawn, opportunities are presented to get to know each other a little more deeply.
Services begin at 10:30 am at the church.
On July 25 and August 22 we are planning for a picnic lunch on the Roy St. lawn. Please bring lawn chairs, blankets, hats, and food in a cooler (since we may not have access to the kitchen).
Stirling Avenue and First Mennonite churches have invited Rockway to their joint services on holiday weekends.

Laura Stemp-Morlock preached this sermon at Rockway on May 30, 2010. You can read the sermon here, or download a copy to print (.pdf).

The first worship service of Rockway Mennonite Church was held in the "Old Barn" of Rockway Mennonite High School on October 2, 1960. Fifty years later to the day, Rockway will celebrate its anniversary with a dinner and program at its current location in downtown Kitchener. The following day, October 3, the Sunday worship service will celebrate the past and continuing life of the congregation. Contact the church office for more information.
